THE CHURCHILL ARMS
PAXFORD
CHIPPING CAMPDEN, GLOUCESTERSHIRE. GL55 6XN
www.churchillarms.co

In the northern reaches of the Cotswolds, just two miles east of Chipping Campden, you will find The Churchill Arms nestled in village of Paxford.

The Churchill Arms offers a relaxed contemporary feel as well as outstanding food created by head chef (and proprietor) Nick Deverell-Smith whose appearances on Saturday Kitchen Live and The Great British Menu have put the pub well and truly on the culinary map.

With this in mind, it is no surprise that the menus offer a wide range of wonderful dishes suiting everyone's pallets and wallets. During a normal weekday lunchtime you will find a main, classic and set menu- the latter offering 2 courses for just £15 or 3 for £19.95 with each dish delivering a carefully considered modern twist on British classics. The main and classic menus run into the evening where you can enjoy a quiet meal for 2 or an night with friends on the varied sized tables in the bar and restaurant. There are sharing options too with a stunning Beef Wellington or Lobster Macaroni and Cheese available on the main menu and a huge focus on local produce with their three main sources all within a 10 mile radius except the fish that arrives daily from the Cornish coast. On a Sunday you can enjoy a delicious roast as well as other dishes including a fish dish and vegetarian option. Booking is highly recommended at all times!

If you are just going for a drink you will find a good selection of ales, lagers, wines and sprits to enjoy in front of the inglenook fireplace in winter months or out the front of the pub during the summer. Try a pint of North Cotswold, Purity or perhaps a Winston, a house ale brewed locally to the pub. There is an extensive and well balanced wine list which contains Reds, Whites and Rose from around the world from classic Sauvignon and Pinot to more unusual varieties such as Gruner Veltliner and an equally good selection of local and recognised spirits.

Upstairs you will find 2 (increasing to 4 from June 17th) boutique en-suite bedrooms offering stunning views of the countryside and the perfect base to explore the Cotswolds, Stratford upon Avon and beyond.

From the warm welcome from the friendly staff as you walk through the door to the last bite of your meal, a visit to The Churchill Arms is a charming experience and a must for anyone visiting the Cotswolds.
