The first trailer for Welcome to Flatch, the US remake of This Country, has been released.
The sitcom is based on the BBC3 mockumentary created by Daisy and Charlie Cooper and based here in the Cotswolds.
Instead of Kerry and Kurtan Mucklowe, we are introduced to cousins Shrub and Kelly Mallet, played by Sam Straley and Chelsea Holmes. We also get to see their version of the Vicar, Father Joe who is played by Seann William Scott.
The Welcome to Flatch synopsis reads: "When a documentary crew sets out to explore the lives of residents in a small American town - their dreams, their concerns - they stumble upon the midwestern town of Flatch, which is made up of many eccentric personalities.
"It's a place you want to visit and maybe even stay. If there was a decent motel. Which there is not."
The series is billed to air on American network Fox in early 2022.
