The BBC confirmed last night that the third series of the Bafta award-winning comedy This Country will be the last.
The show, created by siblings Charlie and Daisy Cooper, and filmed in the Cotswolds, first landed on our screens back in 2017 and has since won and array of awards. It will be the first series not to feature the brilliant Michael "Slugs" Sleggs who sadly passed away in July 2019. On an Instagram post confirming the news of the third series being the last, Daisy wrote "It's been the most incredible journey of my life and I'm so grateful to you all" This Country will return to our screens on February 17th on BBC3.

Series 3 of the hugely popular BBC comedy This Country will be aired in February 2020.
The mockumentary following the lives of cousins Kerry and Kurtan Mucklowe, played by Daisy and Charlie Cooper is filmed in and around the town of Northleach here in the Cotswolds. Charlie said to us this morning "We've just finished the editing on series 3 which we think might be the best yet. We can't wait to for everyone to see it when it launches in February. Expect more of the same nonsense from Kerry and Kurtan as well as a few new characters!" You can catch up on the first two series and "aftermath" on the BBC iPlayer by clicking HERE.
This Country returned this month for an incredible one off special where we found out what happened to Kerry and Martin Mucklowe after their arrest at the end of Series 2
BBC 3 have just released the best deleted scenes from 'The Aftermath' and they're brilliant! You can watch it here - www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p06mp1r8/this-country-the-aftermath
When BBC 3 disappeared from our screens last year many, including myself, have had very little to do with it online. This was until I saw an advert set in Northleach with an unruly looking woman in a Swindon Town football shirt saying "I've got enemies everywhere. I've got enemies in South Cerney, I've got enemies in North Cerney, I've got enemies in Cerney Wick. I've got enemies in Bourton on the Water". What the hell is this?
I did some digging and found that This Country is a mockumentary created by Charlie and Daisy May Cooper playing characters Kurtan and Kerry Mucklowe respectively. They are pretty much everything you want to avoid in the countryside and something The Cotswolds sweeps under the proverbial carpet. They swear a lot. They are self-confessed bullies and they are both emotionally unstable. It is actually bloody brilliant. Both the acting and script are incredible and the chalk and cheesiness of stunning countryside and the depths of society is bizarre, yet wonderful at the same time. This is up there with anything that Ricky Gervais has done. If The Office and Benefit Street collided in the Cotswolds, This Country is what you would get. It is a work of art. Watch it now on BBC.
