6 RESTAURANTS IN CHELTENHAM YOU REALLY MUST TRY (IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY)

The food scene in Cheltenham is absolutely buzzing right now. We have picked a few relatively new restaurants that really need to be on your radar if they're not already on there.

NO.3

Launched in the summer of 2020 by former Gloucester and England rugby player Phil Vickery and chef Tom Rains, No.3 has quickly become one of Cheltenham's most popular restaurants.

A celebration of the finest meat and fish, the menu includes their renowned tomahawk steaks, wonderful sharing plates and hearty brunches, all topped off with exceptional service.

When fiery Texan BBQ meets, Taiwanese cuisine, steamed Bao buns and banging cocktails collide, you get the brilliant new BAO + BBQ on Regent Street in the heart of the town.

From Oak Smoked Chicken and Korean Wings to Sticky Pork Ribs and Bang Bang Cauli, the menu offers a great choice of some awesome dishes with wonderfully intense flavours.

MUSE BRASSERIE

The food at Muse Brasserie can only be described as a fusion of French, European and British cuisine with a hint of subtle Asian flavours. The combination might sound unusual but the result is truly exceptional.

RESTAURANT GL50

GL50 has a relaxed approach to fine dining but does not compromise on serving exceptional, locally sourced, seasonal produce.

The menu is the culmination of everything that chef-owner Jonas Lodge has experienced working under Raymond Blanc and with the likes of Sergio Arola, Paul Heathcote & Heston Blumental, and its attitude towards zero waste leads to some exceptional, yet very exciting and interesting dishes.

You can find Restaurant GL50 in the Michelin Guide 2021.

MOWGLI

Located in The Brewery Quarter, Mowgli is one of the latest additions to the Cheltenham food scene.

The Mowgli brand was created by Nisha Katona in 2014 with a desire to serve food that Indians eat at home and on their streets, and the dishes of the Mowgli menu are a million miles away from the curry stereotype. These dishes convey the truth that real Indian food is extremely healthy, often vegan and always packed with fresh flavour.
