Soon after setting out to find the best burgers that the Cotswolds has to offer we, local bloggers Millie & Meg (and partners), doctor, and very keen burger enthusiast, Simon Gillson and I found ourselves at The Tavern in Cheltenham on a Monday evening.
We had heard (and read) good things about the (Monday evening) burger deal and a drink for £10 or £11 if you wanted extra cheese which all of us did! The 'non drivers' went for a pint of Bobby's (local beer company) lager to compliment their feast. This made the deal extra good value for money.
The 6oz meat was really good and the addition of blue cheese added more flavour. The salad was really fresh and the shoestring fries, although not my personal favourite with a burger, went nicely. I was not convinced that the side of slaw added anything to the experience.
Overall the whole experience was excellent and satisfying and exceptional value if you opted for a pint of Bobby's!
