With the addition of new head chef Tom Richards and a small, yet, quality menu, the Halfway House has quickly put itself on the Cotswolds food map.
There is a twist on pub classic meals with the inclusion of a wonderful ploughman's complete with ale chutney and a homemade sausage roll, a chicken kiev, ham, very local eggs (gathered from Temple Guiting, a mile down the road) and the very popular burger with baconaise and thick cut chips. The evening menu features more local produce with Pork from Sudeley Farm a frequent inclusion. Look out for their dog walking Sunday's on the first Sunday of each month which includes a bacon roll and coffee at 10am followed by the walk and a delicious roast on your return all for £17.95 with £1 from each being donated to Walking With The Wounded.
Part of the Donnington Brewery there is always a selection of locally brewed ales and a core drinking community and it's a favoured pub for walkers and cyclists alike with lots of great walking and bike routes around that part of the world. There is a large garden at the rear with picnic tables perfect to enjoy the sunshine and a pint, a local gin and tonic or a pimms.
